This volume examinates the history and origins of the people on the island of Unije in western Croatia. Using documentary evidence and oral knowledge the book recounts the island's history and family origins spanning four hundred years. It includes family genealogies through to the 19th Centuries for the island and for the families who migrated to nearby Cunski and Mali Losinj in the 18th Century. The immigration from the island to the United States during the 19th and 20th Centuries is documented. The volume is multilingual with the Croatian component entitled Unije Povijest i Obitelji translated by Mirna Solic and the Italian part entitled La Storia di Unie translated by Enzo Valencich and Fiorella Rivera.
